1 - Fresh Apple
1/2 cup - Pureed cooked sweet potato, or can use yams or carrots
1/8 cup - Cod liver or Salmon oil
1/3 cup - Nutritional yeast
1/4 cup - Powdered Colostrum
1 - Banana - peeled of course
1 cup - Pea protean
1/2 cup - Ground flax meal
1/8 cup - Flax oil
You can also use coconut oil instead of flax or alternate batches
Put in food processer and puree. If too moist add more flax meal, protein powder or a gluten free powder such as oat flour or brown rice flour.
Dehydrate on low heat, preferably in a food dehydrator @125-135 degrees. It will take at least 2 hrs+ in a dehydrator. You can also do in an oven on low heat. Check every 30-min. I took mine out while they were still slightly soft, not crunchy.
Get creative and add your own ingredients. Make sure what you add is safe for dogs. Our GSD likes fresh apples, bananas and pears as a raw treat as well. Remember that Grapes and raisins are off limits for dogs!
