Grounding with First Morning Light

Lets talk about "grounding" or "earthing" first.

Grounding is connecting with our earth's healing energies or properties. Also known as "Earthing". It involves connecting to the earths gentle surface energies, such as walking barefoot outside on the early morning dew covered grass, while basking in the early morning sunshine on our face.

What are a few of the benefits of Earthing?

* Defuses the cause of inflammation

* Reduces or eliminates chronic pain

* Improves sleep

* Lowers stress and promotes calmness

* Normalizes the body's biological rhythms

* Improves blood pressure

* Relieves muscle tension and headaches

* Speeds healing

Connecting to the Earth by being barefoot outside does not cure us of any disease. According to the book "Earthing", connecting to the earth's energy can restore the body's natural internal electrical stability and rhythms, which in turn promote normal functioning of body systems, reduces inflammation, shifts the nervous system from a stress dominated mode to one of calmness and improved sleep. By reconnecting, you enable your body to return to it's normal electrical state thereby encouraging the natural healing process.

I have made it a common practice of late to get outside in the first morning light when possible. I lay on the ground with the morning light on my forehead with my eyes closed, and I just lay there soaking it all in as my body becomes more and more relaxed. Sometimes I even fall asleep. One day I had an Assistant here when I went outside to "ground" just for a few minutes....One hour later I woke up refreshed and pain free.

I highly recommend you pick up the book "Earthing" and give it a try. One other thing I would recommend is, when possible, go out in the first morning light and expose the forehead to those first morning rays. It has the ability to contribute to a positive attitude for the rest of the day.
